Plain English first. This policy is written to be read, not avoided. If you have any questions about how your data is handled, email privacy@creatorcafe.live and I'll respond within 30 days.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is Neil Farrimond, operating as a sole trader under the name Neil Farrimond / Video Authority Architect, based in Portugal.

You can contact me regarding any data privacy matter at privacy@creatorcafe.live.

What data I collect and why

I only collect data that is necessary to deliver a service or communicate with you. Here is what I collect and the legal basis under GDPR for doing so:

Free guide opt-in (name and email address)
When you request the free Anti-Overwhelm Video Setup Guide, I collect your name and email address. I use this to deliver the guide and, with your consent, to send follow-up emails about video authority and my services. Legal basis: consent.

Booking forms via TidyCal (name, email, and any details you provide)
When you book a call or session through TidyCal, your booking details are collected and managed by TidyCal. I receive your name and email to prepare for and follow up on the session. Legal basis: contract (fulfilling the booked service).

Purchases via FluentCart and Stripe (name, email, payment details)
When you purchase a product or service, your name and email are stored on my server to fulfil the order. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — I do not store or have access to your card information. Legal basis: contract.

Creator Cafe community (name, email, profile information)
If you join the Creator Cafe community portal, your account information is stored on my server. This is used solely to manage your membership and provide access to community content. Legal basis: contract.

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
Like all websites, this site generates server logs when you visit. These are used only for security monitoring and technical maintenance and are not used for marketing. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

How I store your data

Email contacts and community accounts are stored on my WordPress installation, hosted by Hostinger on servers located within the European Union. Email marketing is managed through FluentCRM, which is installed directly on this server — your data does not leave my hosting environment for email purposes.

Booking data is held by TidyCal. Payment data is held by Stripe. Both are subject to their own privacy policies, linked below.

Who I share your data with

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. I share data only with the following third-party services where necessary to deliver a service:

Email marketing and unsubscribing

If you have opted in to receive emails from me, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing privacy@creatorcafe.live. I will remove you from all marketing lists within 5 business days.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to purchases or active bookings.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies:

No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are used on this site.

How long I keep your data

Your rights under GDPR

As someone based in the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these, email privacy@creatorcafe.live and I will respond within 30 days.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

If I make material changes to this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page. I recommend checking back periodically. Continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
